Who would have thought two years ago we;d be favourites to get wembley to DEFEND our challenge cup.

And that we were 2nd in the league and being talked about as potential grand final victors.

I'm pretty pleased with that.

Compare our lot to, for example wigan who expect to win even though they've done nowt for ten years and when they were good it was because they were the only full time team.

Or saints who have lost the last 3 grand finals and seem pee'd off, even tho they GOT TO THE LAST THREE GRAND FINALS.....

Lets remember where we have come from and hope it lasts for years to come, and by that i mean that we can compete for honours consistently,

because win or lose, to be up there is beyond my hopes since 1986.

I'm confident we can do something in these playoffs.

if we can put a strong showing it what's likely a first round against saints then win or lose we can get to the final elim and why not the GF.

All this talk about backing up applies to us all, the comp will at that stage be distilled to the best most intense teams. so we are all in the same boat

It's that old chestnut again. Leeds and a few others were as well. It's just other fans seem to latch on to Wigan because we won things. Do some research before posting things that aren't true and then later claiming they are.

Back on topic, though. It's nice that Wire are up competing for the top honours along with ourselves. I was beginning to worry there was getting too much of a Saints/Leeds monopoly on the league.

exactly, and i'd have been happy with that at the start of the season and i'd be happy with that at the end.

I can't think of a bigger improvement from a team in a single season.
