Oh the memories. Boy do I remember those ladies toilets. Still they were an improvement on the bucket they had when I started going as a 6 year old!

I hate seeing Wilderspool in that state. Makes me sad.

Looks far better now and has for the past 2 odd years.

I never actually ever went into the Railway end. Reminds me exactly of the Knowsley Road away end.

Loved that ground realy enjoyed playing there, great atmosphere.

A lot of those old stadiums, Wilderspool, Hilton Park, Wheldon Road, Knowsley Road, Central park etc.. they all seem to follow a similar design as each other.

Those pics were taken in 2006 I think.

only ever went 1 game at wilderspool in the final season vs leeds( think we got hammered) how times have changed

Wilderspool was a great RL stadium as was Hilton Park.

Remember our CC QF game in 2002 when Leigh packed it out and in 1987 when the Leythers went Barmy staying up on the last day.

All the derby games had a great atmosphere. Still remember Des Drummond nailing Offiah at a Wire / Widnes game.

Enjoyed playing on it too. Happy memories !

It doesn't look quite that bad now. All the weeds have been pulled up so it doesn't quite look like a wilderness. Unfortunately there has been some vandalism with the stalls being smashed etc which doesn't help.
