A plea to knowledgeable Salford folk on here...
My daughter is doing a thesis on the role of place in novels and plays (e.g. Edinburgh in Ian Rankin's novels, Oxford in the Morse books etc) and would like suggestions for items involving Salford

Hobsons choice for me, see if u can get a copy of the old film ,
some great shots of old salford in that, i remember watching that as a kid many moons ago.

Yeah a good film,i think some of it was filmed in Peel Park,oh by the way,is the shape of the challenge cup still visible in that said park? Was`nt John Mills the star in that film to? |
