| No need to worry, we never win a game with Kendle, he always gives any 50 - 50 against us & ensures we loose !

The Leeds players need to be into him early doors and if necessary Brad Arthur needs to be waiting for him in the tunnel at half time if he doesn’t like the decisions out on the field. There’s no point in being passive throughout the game and then suggesting certain decisions could have gone our way afterwards. Mike Mcmeeken will be trying to ref the game from the word go. Every time the ref is surrounded by Wakey players we need a presence in and around as well.

And this is everything I hate about the modern game and the lack of respect that referee's seem to have these days. It needs stamping out, in the ref's face, waving arms asking for penalties and laying down after tackle if you think you deserve a penalty. penalties should go against the arm wavers, shouters and des. Players would soon get the message and to add to this, they should start calling the ref Sir again, like they used to.

Having watched Trinity every game this season it’s a rare occurrence for Trinity players to surround themselves with ref and while Mckmeeken has clarified a few decisions he’s been respectful about it and certainly not been trying to ref the game. I’m not sure calling for Leeds players and off field staff to do that is wise either. Whenever I’ve seen teams do that it has just as much chance of back firing. I’d give refs more credit than to be swayed by players mobbing them. As for the game. Looking forward to coming back to Leeds. Despite our huge injury list we are in good form and have found some rhythm as it appears have Leeds. Has the makings of a close but competitive game.

| I actually think Kendall and Moore are the most reliable in getting the difficult decisions right most of the time. My problem with both, is they allow the most ruck interference by a country mile. In the case of Wakey though, I think that will suit us more than it will suit them. Should be a good competitive game, hopefully we won't have to talk about the ref afterwards either way.

| I personally don't want to see our players getting into the ref, it's futile, especially with the Captains Challenge he's got an easy rebuttal.
I'm hoping with it being MND round and playing with Rob on the shirt it gives that extra lift like it did last year, and we of course owe Trinity one. They are clearly no mugs though and it will be a hard game.

Agree. Leave all that ridiculous shenanigans to Football. Don't want to watch a team of cheats. Think it will be a really good game. Wakey play some nice rugby, and as they have already proved once this season if we are off our game they'll cause us problems. Hoping for a big crowd with it being the MND game. I'd like to ECW get his chance this week. Need to find out how good he is. Don't want to let him go and then find out he's the next Jai Field.

| Bit of a different defensive test against a Powell side. Have to be vigilant around the ruck but also expect them to shovel it wide at speed to the likes of Thomas Johansson. Doubtless there'll be a few clever shapes thrown at us too rather than a 5 drives and a kick grind.

Players would soon get the message and to add to this, they should start calling the ref Sir again, like they used to. I agree entirely. But the problem is that it ain’t gonna happen. I don’t want to see my team disadvantaged by playing fairly when the officials are being coached and manipulated by opposition players. That is a surefire way to lose more games than you should be doing. Something that has become more prevalent and should be stamped on by the weak refs is players coaching the ref to watch certain opposition players and there supposed offences. More and more I am hearing refs replying to players moaning by saying “I’ll keep an eye on that” or “I’ll have a look next time”. Eh ! Who’s reffing the game for Gods sake ? Certain teams and certain players are sowing the seeds in the refs mind to unfairly focus on opposition players and their supposed offences. Refs are just going along with it. The only reply to players coaching a ref should be “go away l’m the ref” rather than agreeing to target certain players for extra scrutiny. All of the problems on field are the ref’s and governing body’s fault. They obviously aren’t going to sort it so why disadvantage yourself by meekly hanging back and not having your say ?
