| I don't expect to see any on Saturday. Less money in the coffers of Halifax RLFC & more money spent by the RFL on return flights.
If they do return to the French league next season, this is another expansion failure by the Pie Man & his tennis buddy.
I wonder if Nigel Wood has to pay for 2 seats when he travels by air? Or do they have wider seats in business class paid on for by the RFL?

| The thing is how much money has the RFL spent on the expansion dream that could have been given to Championship clubs instead of trying to starve them out.
PARIS = FAIL. GATESHEAD = FAIL SHEFFIELD = FAIL CRUSADERS = FAIL TOLOUSE = FAIL. LONDON (after 30 yrs ) ? Not a good track record really but to hear them talk it`s a huge sucsess . I reckon RFL = FAIL.

| I believe the current cost to the RFL of having Toulouse in the Championship is in the region of £400k per year, to cover costs of flying teams and officials over there, hotels ect, and same for Toulouse coming over here.
I think more damage will have been done to the Toulouse Club by taking part in this experiment, their attendances are woeful, a long long way behind other French RL Teams in the region I believe, some of the players who left at the end of last season, did so because they could earn more in the french league, and some of the foreign players at Toulouse arent on bad money (or so they claim).
TBH though, if Fax were to play in the French League for the next 3 seasons as part of a bizarre experiment I wouldn't be right happy, I go to as many games as I can, Home and Away, and to suddenly only be able to go to one or two away games a season at best down to time and cost would leave a sour taste in my mouth.

| Was told by a reliable source when we were over there that the RFL
pay £30,000 for each club to go over there, but when Toulouse come here,
they pay their own way.
Also know that the match commisioner & other officials stay in the Capitol Square
area hotels when they go over, average fan can hardly afford a pint in that area.

| In all fairness, Toulouse's away support is only about a dozen behind Sheffield's.

I'm considering Carlos to be Toulouse's one fan at each game, though even then I think thirteen people is a little generous to Sheffield.

| Do Toulouse fans attend away games?
Yes but only when Toulouse are playing at home.

There are a lot of amateur teams in the London area, but that begs the question: why aren't they supporting the flagship team in the capital? Take away the numbers of visiting supporters from their home attendances and we will probably find their core support is no greater than that of most of the Championship teams.
Other than that, I agree with you.

Plus most of the home supporters down there are Aussie or Kiwis over here on backpacking / bank jobs for 12 months how is that building up attendances.
But Rimmer and Robbie Whatsits Paul both who were extoling the expansion claptrap at a meeting last year both agreed without London and Crusaders then Sky would not be interested.
Jason Mccartney MP shook his head and said when you lot have finished throwing all the RFL money at France , Wales and London and it still fails you will be back with Wakey , Leigh and other heartland clubs.
They did not like it one little bit.
