|  CLUB STATEMENT - SATURDAY 8TH JULY 2017
Last Thursday night at Swinton Royal British Legion, remaining directors Alan Marshall and Steve Wild gave a full and frank disclosure of the club's current financial position.
Thanks was given to the many fans who joined the recent 200 Club and Vice-Presidents initiatives, money which enabled the club to meet its 30th June salaries in fullAcknowledgment was given to our former Chairman John Roddy, who led the club to promotion in 2015 and helped establish the Lions in the Championship during 2016.
The Rugby Football League are aware of our situation and offering logistical support, whilst our ground hosts Sale FC have been hugely supportive.
Discussions will continue with potential investors into next week, and a firm proposal as to how the club intends to progress will be expected no later than Friday 15th July.
The club wishes to pay great tribute to our Head Coach John Duffy and all his staff and players, who have stuck with the club and given it everything throughout what has often been a very difficult season.
Finally, Sale FC have very kindly offered to put on a free top class buffet lunch prior to the Swinton Lions versus Dewsbury Rams fixture on Sunday 16th JulyWe are asking fans to support the initiative by making donations as follows:-
Vice-Presidents : FREE
200 Club Members : £20
Season Ticket Holders : £20
Other fans : £30
Under 16s : £10
Fans in all categories are being asked to consider donating £30.
