| We're in our 'a wins a win' phase of the season and we've seen enough of them now to know it won't last but they can be frustrating. Next week worries me a bit. Catalans were truly awful last night but they'll want to bounce back and it's the sort of place were a lax attitude can soon get you in trouble, with their crowd on at the ref all game and if you panic, you can soon be chasing the game.

i've posted on Warriors fans this morning that i think when Havard gets back (another week or 2) that Matty has a selection problem in that Thompson, Havard and Walters can all play big minutes at good intensity. With Dupree and Mago being the rotation and impact, i think both Hill and Byrne will find themselves out of the squad, but we need to keep them interested to cover injuries or suspensions as they will be valuable squad members if we are to go for the GF again
i agree for this week just the 2 changes
Drop Farrell and put Walters in at second row. Farrell still has 2.5 years left on his contract. Seems crazy considering his form in the last 12 months. I definitely think it was a year too much but Im hoping we're looking to bring in a back rower for next year that can be first choice with Faz rotating in. Moving him to the right side so late in his career won't have helped but defensively he's really struggling and he carries almost no attacking threat. Faz is retiring at the end of the season. Pretty huge news if true, particularly given the recent contract renewal. Here's an early call - Liam Marshall to replace Faz as captain? It’s definitely true. I will go for Ellis.

Drop Farrell and put Walters in at second row. What is your source ? 4months after signing a 2 year extension. Would be weird. Farrell still has 2.5 years left on his contract. | Sadly, Faz is now starting to show his age. Previously we've been able to live with his reduced attacking threat due to Junior and other attacking options, but he's starting to get shown up in defence. Will be interesting to see how Peet manages his time for the rest of the season.
2nd row is the one area we are short in. Previously I thought Walters would fill the gap (as I think Wigan were planning) but he's show to be a far more effective prop - and I think has the edge over Havard when he does come back.
On a different topic, I think Peet is managing Luke's time really well at the moment. At times last year we looked to be overplaying him but he's being spelled more and it should pay dividends towards the end of the season.

Faz is retiring at the end of the season. That would be a huge shock after signing a new 2 year extension only in January. What a player he's been for us though.

| Good bloke Faz and he will know if his time is done. Looking at this performances and the lack of impact he is having, its probably the right decision to call time at the end of the year. I dont think its a massive shock even if he is under contract for next season. A legend of the club and will go down as one of the best second rowers in SL history.
