I thought McManus had done the ultimate dummy spit and decided not to let Warrington fans into the ground when the queue was looping halfway around the ground 30 mins before kick off.
It was an absolute fiasco.
The stewards were stopping and frisking fans and searching bags and as you say this caused the biggest turn style queue I can recall in all my years watching the game.
With 15 minutes before kick-off the decision was made to open exit doors to allow the Wire fans access to the stadium.
Our tickets weren`t even scanned and we could have got in with photocopies of 1 purchased ticket.
Yes, I just flashed a QR code (which was legit!) but it could have been anything and I'd have got in. I was too far around the corner to see what was causing the blockage in the first place; I had assumed the QR scanners weren't working properly.
