how close to the play the ball does the second marker have to be before he is not classed as a marker and therfore offside? warrington seemed to do this quite a lot last night and werent pulled for it,just not sure on the rule.
The rules don't specify a set distance but that the second marker has to be "immediately and directly behind his own player". Lingering 5 metres back isn't 'immediately' behind, and I have seen it penalised before, but not often enough.
