This destroys the long established argument "Is a Jaffa a cake or not", I'd be making that myself this weekend if it wasn't for the fact that we've a huge chocolate fudge cake to make instead (pre-mix I'm embarassed to admit, but a Betty Croker one), lets hope the dog doesn't get to it first this time.

I thought we'd sorted it it previously ... i.e. ....

If it's hard and goes soft as it stales, it's a biscuit.
If it's soft and goes hard as it stales, it's a cake.

Someone should document this and file it in the specifications folder with dated version control so we don't have to go through it all again.

I remember spending the best part of every lunchtime for a month at work debating the difference between a rasin and a sultana. The addition of currents to the debate sent us over the edge. I don't want to get into biscuits and cakes, I got enough abuse on the Sin Bin when I said if darts was a sport then so was gardening.

More entertainment than sport

Of course darts is a sport!

On June 3rd, 2005 the application by The British Darts Organisation for darts to be recognised as a bona-fide sport was unanimously agreed by the sports councils of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It also meets all criteria set in the definition below..

Some would say that it involves no physical exertion, but those that play long enough can strain their hypothenar muscles, and even develop 'dart thrower's elbow'. How's that for physical exertion! It has even been known for players to get out of breath walking to and from the oche.
