needs putting in the dustbin with the long gone community singing. We are in the 21st century and trying to get the speccies to join in with a funeral hymn. Bring the game into the modern era. Abide with me belongs back in the 40s and 50s, so last century.

Let’s get rid of the challenge cup whilst we’re at it. Replace it with a mid-season play offs for the sides sitting in the super league top eight in the middle of the season.

I like Abide with Me, it's traditional like the Challenge Cup and since we don't have much tradition or much of a link to the past in rugby league anymore I'd like to keep it. If anything it'd be better to get rid of the national anthem and the VIP greeting the players, it slows proceedings down.

Perhaps something by Hannah Montana or N' Dubz could replace it?

I was too busy being entertained by a certain commentator pumping out his chest and lungs to it, along with "God Save The Queen". Prefer the Sex Pistols version myself.
